Cirrus by Laserbot Cirrus by Laserbot
This is my second attempt at drawing my friend Benwolfson's character Cirrus. i feel this one turned out better then the one in my scraps. i also included a face shot too and probably will color that later on... but yea this was sorta for fun and also to repay him for helping write alot of LB's stories.

this is just in pencil, i probably will ink it here when i get time... ive been terribly buissy lately but its getting better... i will probably be submitting some more work here again soon! :)

Hey. Long, long overdue comment. ^^;

This is a really snazzy design and some crisp, tight pencil work. I usually try to do the neck cables, too, but I've never had a diagram of human neck muscles to work from (yes, I'm saving that image you linked). That's always a big help. :XD:

I'd love to see the inked (and possibly even coloured someday?) version of this.

sweet glad i could help! :D

thanks! and yes actually i did do the colored version as well :XD: its in my gallery if ya like to check it out! :) i think i just took the pencils, cleaned and darkened them and colored from there i skiped the inking process becasue it would have lost alot of detail in this particular pic because i don't have fine enough pens... which reminds me i need to go get some lol!

Man, I missed the coloured version somewhere along the way. Wonder if my inbox ate it. :?

I like my Zig Memory System pens when I work up the nerve to ink; I've heard some others complain that when they ink, then erase all the extra pencil, there's some fading, but I've never noticed it myself. My set goes down to .2mm, so they come pretty fine.

hum? me neither i never have noticed it. my scanner has settings i can chose before it even scans it so i can make it get realy light and detailed stuff.

thats sounds awesome with those ink pens! yea i hope to get a better set I'm sorta limited on my media right now heh ^^;

The Zig pens are really good for being as inexpensive as they are. You might like them; I think they're worth looking for. :3

Wow. That is detailed and very cool!

You say you might colour it. That would be awesome. (I've never been good at thinking of a colour scheme.) BTW, that neck is very intertesting.

thank you! i tried to do the neck like metallic musclefibers (sorta like the ones from I Robot) like the way human neck muscles are attached and joined in an anatomicaly correct version. i dono if i got it 100% i just went off memory of how i remember studying the pics from my anatomy books...

hey! here i found a pick to describe what i mean!

Looks very good. Looking at the neck makes me wonder how the neck of a mech would look like, as all mechs I have seen has "covered necks".

heh yea i dono why i did that i think i wanted to make it pop out more i get tired of just a stright pannel over the neck... i did it i think to make it look more humanoid.
